FineReader is excellent as well and quite easy to get to grips with. Can
scan and read in quite a number of languages accurately now too.

if you don't want to pay for a blind friendly product such as Kurzweil
1000, Omnipage version 16 works well, particularly if you set it up to
scan into Microsoft Word and turn off proofreading after scanning.
