Hi, George and All, Just to say that my friend has reinstalled WMP version 10 which has overwritten the version 11 beta. It was definitely the beta causing the problem because I can now access my downloaded audio books since I can get licence validation. Just thought I should warn against the beta. Best wishes, Joan. ----- Original Message ----- From: "George Bell" <george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, September 30, 2006 10:20 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Repairing Windows Media Player > Hi Joan, > > I've just taken a look at the WMP11 page, (linked from the > one I gave you) which says that Beta 2 is available "for our > US customers."=20 > > There's a link on that WMP11 page to, "Learn more about Beta > 2 updates", where it tells you how to remove it or roll > back. > > While some of it looks straight forward, there is a "Note:" > at the end which has me a just shade concerned, and > therefore I'm inclined to suggest that you do have some > computer literate, sighted help to hand when you do this. > > George. > > -----Original Message----- > From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Joan Muir > Sent: 30 September 2006 20:23 > To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Repairing Windows Media Player > > George, thanks for that. > > I checked the site to be told that I'm running the beta of > WMP11.
