Right click on the item in question, and select "Rename".

Is it possible to rename items on the Start Menu? Not ehe program
themselves, just the name of the shortcut on the Start Menu.
For example, on the Start Menu I have Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft
Word and Microsoft Excel. So I have to press m three times to get to
one of them. I would like to simply have Outlook, Word and Excel. Is
this possible?
