Thanks, John. However, I deleted files in an application which doesn't send 
them to the 
recycle bin, so I guess this wouldn't solve my particular problem.

Hi Terry, tune up utilities 2008 gives you an undelete option on the
recycle 
bin context menu. It's jaws friendly and is very quick and
efficient.
