Thanks Steve. That explains why I can't find it. For me it was much more useful than the listing fields that Jaws 6 has for Jaws F5. No need to select the table in Word 2002 to convert it. Looks as though I will have to create a macro although I'm beginning to run out of hot keys. Best wishes Robert -----Messaggio originale----- Da: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Per conto di Griffiths, Steve Inviato: venerdì 30 settembre 2005 10.00 A: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Oggetto: [jaws-uk] Re: Table to text Robert, The JAWS keystroke for converting a table to text was Insert + F5 up until JAWS version 5.0. For version 5.1 and 6, it seems to have been removed and you have to follow the strategy outlined by Chris. I don't know about Word 2002, but in some older versions of Word you will need to select the table before the convert option becomes available. Put your cursor inside the table you want to convert (any cell will do), press alt a to opent the 'Table' submenu and arrow down to 'Convert' and press enter. You will be presented with a sub-menu and one of the options will be 'Convert table to text', press enter on this and you will be asked how the celles should be seperated (commas, tabs etc) or you can specify your own seperator character. Select the one you want, press enter and you're done. Cheers Chris . -----Original Message----- From: R. Interestingly, when I press Jaws H in Word "converting table to text" is listed in the Virtual Viewer as one of the items but no hot key combination is supplied.
