OK thanks very much everyone, that's answered my question, we'll need to get the Jaws Professional version, not Standard. Robert, maybe it will run ok in demo mode for 40 minutes (I don't know if it would), but that's not really very workable for us.

I may be missing something here but it seems to me it depends what you mean by "work". When I had vista business installed my Jaws "worked" with it all right even though I only had the "home" licence but it was in 40 minute demomode. I thought the same was true with XP. Thus, if you have XPprofessional installed with a "home" jaws licence Jaws will work but only indemo mode. Isn't that right?
