Dear John, I cannot be sure but your problems may be connected with the BBC's introduction of a new version of the I player which has received a very mixed reception even among its sighted users. My only suggestion is a bit of a cop out if you want to do everything in the way a sighted person would but it works for me - try downloading Webbie, advertised as "the web browser for the blind" at www.webbie.org.uk I should add that I use it almost exclusively for the excellent and easy access it gives to the BBC, still using Internet Explorer for most of my other browsing. Best wishes Robert -----Messaggio originale----- Da: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Per conto di John SAVAGE Inviato: sabato 18 settembre 2010 8.33 A: uk-radio-listeners@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Oggetto: [jaws-uk] BBC iPlayer problem The BBC iPlayer no longer works on my computer. It was fine the last time I was loged in, a couple of days ago. I assume from the lack of messages on this subject that it's my computer that's up the spout rather than the iPlayer. The "Flash movie", which used to appear when I opened iPlayer, no longer does. When I was last logged in Adobe Flash Player asked if I wanted an update, I replied "Yes" as I always do, have never had trouble before. I updated while iPlayer was already in operation, but can't imagine that this would cause problems. I do have a friendly neighbourhood techie I can yell "Help!" to, but if anyone has any ideas in the meantime, I'd be grateful. TIA, John. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
