I also use a laptop. It is my vague understanding that some jaws functionality
stops working in laptops especially when laptops go into sleep mode. I have
found this to be the case. But sometimes when the laptop comes back from sleep
that functionality can return. In a case like that I don't try to understand
it LOL!
Computers, can't live with them can't live without them!

Mysteriously, but delightfully, I've just woken my laptop up, and tried the
maximising windows trick again, and this time, for reasons known possibly to
Bill Gates but more probably to nobody mortal at all, it worked. I'm sorted.
If anyone has any ideas as to why I could do nothing to fix it yesterday, but
doing the exact same thing has worked this morning, when the laptop has just
been sleeping through the night, and hasn't restarted, I'd love to know. Do
please share :o) Meanwhile, thanks again for your suggestions yesterday. Your
help was much appreciated, and even if it did no more than tell me I'm
sufficiently competent to do the sensible thing, that was comforting in itself.

Hi
What I do in that situation is maximise the window. When in the document I
press: alt spacebar, the letter X and hopefully that will sort it.
If not then just press: Jaws key with windows key and F4 this is a quick jaws
restart.

Hi list
This morning my JAWS is doing that thing where it suddenly won't navigate by
paragraph within emails. If I want to switch paragraphs I have to do so line
by line. I'm sure this has happened before and is fixable with one easy
keystroke, but can I remember for the life of me what that keystroke is? Can I
heckers like.
Please can some kind person here remind me what to do to fix it?
