Two other alternatives:
Before you open the document select it in windows explorer then open the
file properties. (Either by pressing Ctrl-Enter or using the context menu).
In the general properties tab press the tab key until you reach a button
'Unblock' press this to unblock the file. After that select Ok and the file
will now be accessible.

However, as you often don't know the file is protected until you open it in
Word.
Select the Info tab off the File menu and press the tab key twice. Jaws will
echo that the file is protected, select the button to enable editing and
then Ctrl-S to save the file with the changes.

Hope the undernoted helps.

Take a look at file, options, Microsoft trust centre, then trust centre
settings,.
Whetther you have permissions to make changes there will determine what you
can switch on or off.

With best wiches.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Protected view in documents with Jaws.

Hi all,

I have several documents, that when I go into them they say protected view.
I am using Jaws 15 with Windows 7 Os. On a laptop. What keystroke can I use
to unprotect these documents permanently, so I don't have to unprotect them
each time I go into these documents?

Many thanks,

Michael.
