Jamie,

I understand this but I definitely have a change in behavior with this
keying sequence now than I did before I updated to the latest build. I
have my telephone console online, my Inbox for Outlook 2007 and I'm
browsing a webpage in IE7.

A call comes in....

Holding down the alt key, I tab and land in the Outlook window
Keeping the alt key down, when I continue to press the tab key, I get,

Search query edit.
Instant search button menu
Expand the query builder button

So it's tabbing around the Outlook screen and I actually want to get to
the telephone screen but it won't let me. I have to minimize all and tab
around to the task bar then use the arrow key to find the window I need.
I've been working this sequence for years, as soon as I hear a call, I
could always get to the phone console screen no matter how many windows
I had active on the task bar by alt tabbing until I heard the word
Cisco.

I'm not saying this is a bug, or a malfunction, but it is definitely a
change in behavior since the update yesterday, it stuck out a mile to me
immediately.

Cheers, Robin

Hi all,

Hopefully I'm not teaching anyone to suck eggs here but the key issue
that
has not been mentioned yet is as follows:

Alt+Tab or Alt+Shift+Tab (with the Alt key held down) will cycle through
all
the open application windows either forwards or backwards.
Alt+Tab but releasing the Alt key after each press will switch between
the
last 2 used applications

In other words, the key issue here is whether or not you release the Alt
key.

Regards,

Jamie

        Hi Robin,

        Here, 32-bit Win-7 home premium, Jaws 11.0.1147, alt-tab moves
from
window to windo on the task bar, and shift+alt+ tab does the same, but
the
other way round. It has always worked this way on previous versions of
Windows.
        Cheers,
        Pierre.

Alt Tab will only alternate focus between the current opened window and
the
last window that was in focus. This is a Windows keystroke and not a
Jaws
one.
