Hi,

Well, I think my option is easier. I'm using Outlook Express.

I focus on the message from Dorothy or whoever and don't open it. I press the
alt key for menu and arrow to "message" and arrow down to "block sender". I
enter and it says to confirm I want the sender blocked. I say yes and it asks
if I want any further messages presently in my inbox deleted too. I say yes and
it's done. From then on her messages would go to the deleted items.

I find that this only blocks the message from that sender and not from the
other senders on the Jaws list.

Best wishes,

Joan.

Hi. Would you be able to post me these steps of blocking a sender from a
mailing list? I'm on another chat list and this person spins too many one
liners

    Hi, Robin,

I have used "block sender" successfully for people on lists and find that
the remainder of the messages arrive fine. So for instance you could block my
email (which I hope you don't!) but find that the other ones writing to the
list are ok. Using Jaws 9 with XP home.

    Best wishes,

    Joan.

I'm not going to write to the owner, heck George knows full well what the
problem is with our friend Dorothy and her ramblings.

Dorothy, many listers have posted quite politely to you asking you to
keep your messages on topic, we really don't give a toss about landslips or any
other personal circumstances that have absolutely no link to the purpose of
this forum.

Please please stop this. I wish I could, but I just can't find a way to
filter out your posts via the message rules options and I'm damned if I'm going
to unsubscribe from this list because I've learned so much from the people on
here who address real jaws issues. I'm using XP Pro, IE7 and OE 6, so if anyone
can help me set this filter, I'd appreciate it. I can't block the sender as it
will block all list traffic.

It's sad to say, but if anyone contemplated starting a new forum where
subscribers have to be approved, I would have to seriously think about moving
over and even offer my time to hellp with moderation.

I'm sure I'll get pelters from one or two also for posting this, as well
as the certain volley from DI, but come on folks, this has got to stop.

      Kind regards,
