Hi again Dorothy, The changes to Outlook express which I outlined only prevent further greater than signs from being added to the original messages. It may be that the stripper which Tiddy suggested will do more but, as I have said previously, I haven't used it. I hope that the following doesn't confuse further but I have my Jaws punctuation set to "some", which prevents Jaws speaking signs such as greater than and vertical bar signs in the first place. This means that it doesn't matter whether the signs are there or not because they are not spoken anyway. If I do receive a mail which includes such signs and they are important to me, I just use the temporary settings to reinstate the setting just for that mail. If you need instructions for achieving that change let me know. Regards, Phil Medway. ----- Original Message ----- From: "dorothy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" <User@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2006 11:22 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Phil Medway. My last with tony Berry's Tony Berry sent me a reassuring email about the death rattle my scanner has given today I sent it on badly in other words I replied to Tony and sent that to the list and re-reading it is full of greaterso if I do what you say will they all be gone in future Dorothy Ps the system crash of Jaws due to a word I do not understand that was it a Prank or a bug in the software confused a bit,not a virus obviously. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq -- This email has been verified as Virus free Virus Protection and more available at http://www.plus.net ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
