Thanks Tiddy of course you know how I did get at the Tif but my local
maidstone Trust and Surgery should understand they should send either PDF
that a screen reader can read or find another format I am stil plodding on
with I.E.8 by the way not finding it easy.Dorothy.

TIFF files are pictures, just like jpg files so no text can be read.
The tiff format is the one produced by scanners and Kurzweil etc is
designed to read these, not adobe or jaws.

I don't think adobe can cope with converting Tif files to word I am sure
many of you get Tif files and am wondering the fastest way you are
dealing
