Hi mark, Thanks for this, on checking the processes tab I see that the 3 highest items are: Jfw.exe 25556k, SVCHost.exe at 21000k & explorer .exe at 19000k, with another 28 items no larger than 3000k generally, so if this gives any experts on here a clue, well fine, but I'll keep an eye on these figures later in the day should I? HI Robin, I'm not Carol (big smile), but I do remember there being a Memory leakage issue which has existed definitely with JFW 6, and possibly 5.1. You can indeed monitor the memory consumption of the JAWS application (JFW.EXE) from the 'Processes Property sheet of the Task Manager. Hi all, Going back maybe six months ago, and sorry, my network only allow us one months storage, I think it might have been Carol Pearson posted a thread on how after several hours of use, her pc slowed right down. I remember something about checking the details in the task manager window, but not sure what to look for. I seem to recall some theory about jaws increasing the resource meter for some reason. Anyone remind me what this was about, as I suspect this may be hitting me. I just feel that come mid afternoon, and I've been online since before 9 o'clock, that things just seem to slow down, and the Outlook window locks up on me sometimes. So far though, I haven't had to re boot, nor has the machine gone into restart itself either. Here's some of the pc spec for anyone who might have some clues? Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 (build 2600) Dell Computer Corporation OptiPlex GX270 2.60 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 8 kilobyte primary memory cache 512 kilobyte secondary memory cache Bus Clock: 800 megahertz Memory Modules c,d 41.05 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity 34.55 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space - Status: Healthy 510 Megabytes Installed Memory Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller [Display adapter] Using JFW6.01 ILM. Any help, much appreciated as always. Kind regards, Robin Clayden, Switchboard.
