Scott,

        It certainly does help, thank you. I've gone for the AmbiCom 800b
card. It's a good price and is apparently good with the PAC Mate, but it
always helps to have practical comparisons made.

Hi Tink

I bought a Socket Low Power WLAN CF Card from Expansys a year ago and it
cost me £78.85 including VAT and shipping.  It works well with the Pacmate. 
The only thing I noticed that was slightly irritating was the 5 second delay
when switching the Pacmate on when the card was in place.  This is a known
Pacmate "feature" and I don't know if it's changed in V3 as I haven't tried
it out yet.
