Even with the Option 'When starting go directly to my Inbox@ set it is not
uncommon for OE to pause on the Address Book. It often reads the first name
in the address book before finally settling on to the Inbox Message List.
It is just a matter of waiting. Some times pressing tab will speed things up but on other occasions you may end in a mess.

To set your OE so that it opens in the *In box*, follow these steps:
1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Hold down alt and press t to get into the tools menu.
3. Press o to get into the options menu.
4. The first selection in there should be *When starting, go directly to my
in box*. Press the space bar to select this.
5. Hold down the shift and press tab three times to get to the *ok* and
Now, every time you open OE, the focus will be on your new messages.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Out look express!
Hi The list!
I have recently installed EXP home on my computer and am using Jaws 6.
something. And when I open up outlook express to read my E-mails my address
book keeps popping up! I have tried using F4 and alt to close the address
book but it closes down outlook express too. Then when I reopen the Outlook
express again the address book opens up again. I have also tried using
Escape also but it has no effect. What am I doing wrong? Is there some box
that I can tick to avoid opening the address book? Or is there a way of
getting round this problem? I would just like to go straight to my unread
E-mails and read them without the address book popping up all the time.
Can anyone help?
