Hi Brian,

Thanks for that - will try that out when I am next at work!

Cheers.

Hi

You will find in fact that, when using plain text, if you put the cursor
on the second letter of the URL, for example with http://www.tandt-consultancy.com
put the cursor on the letter T, then press Enter, it should work OK.

Dave,

Are you reading messages in plain text or html? Links work when
pressing enter if you are reading in html format, but you have to use the mouse or a router key on the braille display when activating a link in plain text.

Regards,

Robert

Adrian,

I have tried using the enter key to open links when JAWS is reading
the
link, with the cursor in the link, with the link fully highlighted and
nothing but a beep is heard. If I press Insert+F7, I hear "Not in
spell
checker". I don't know what else to try. The link works if clicked
on
using the mouse, but no luck using JAWS.

Cheers

Dave

Dave,

Try pressing the enter key on the link, and this sould open it up for
you.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Opening Links in emails

Hi All,

I have searched the command lists for the command to open links in
emails without success. In some emails, I have used Insert+F7, and
it
displays a list of links, and in others, I get the response "Not in
spell checker" using the same command.
Please can someone tell me the correct procedure to open links in
emails?

Thanks in advance.

Dave
