Open the e-mail message by pressing enter on it.

press shift and tab key until you hear Jaws announce the 
attachments.

Use the left and right arrows to find the attachment you 
want if there's more than one.

Once you've got the one you want, press enter.

this will bring up an alert basically asking you if you sure 
you want to open the attachment.

Tab until you get to a button that says "open"

then press enter.

the file should open in the program that created it, i.e. if 
it's a word doc, it should open in word, if it's a .txt 
file, it should open in notepad or wordpad.
