Hi sue,
sorry,
after I sent my email last night I realised that I do also know the answer
to the question you asked concerning how jaws reads the number of files et
cetera.
Jaws reads dialogue boxes which appear on the screen, on a disk clean up
this is one of the dialogue boxes. On a disk clean up, Jaws should also tell
you if any errors were found and whether window's fixed anything.
All the best,
Claire.

difference between a defrag and a disk clean up? I'm also wondering how
JAWS reads the number of files that it finds during this operation. I use a
Sony vio laptop with a C and D drive.
