Hi Sue, This will be a limited answer as I am no techi! basically defragging a disk maximises its space the computer re-organises your files to maximise the space you have available and tidies up internal file access issues. Disk cleanup gets rid of old temporary files and other computer rubbish and can sometimes fix small problems. As for the jaws bit...I have no idea. claire. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue Morgan" <sue@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Jaws" <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, June 03, 2006 9:31 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] > Hi. > Apologies if this is off topic but can anyone please tell me the difference between a defrag and a disk clean up? I'm also wondering how JAWS reads the number of files that it finds during this operation. I use a Sony vio laptop with a C and D drive. > > Thanks for any info. > > Sue. > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] > ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: > ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > ** and in the Subject line type > ** unsubscribe > ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the > ** immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] > ** or send a message, to > ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
