Have you tried using the F2 key to read the merged cells
character by character?

I'm looking at a spreadsheet someone else created in Excel
2003 using
JAWS 10. There are a lot of merged cells and I have the
feeling I am
missing something. Is there any particular way to deal with
merged
cells? JAWS just reads a small amount of content and says a
huge
amount of cells are merged, and I'm not sure how to get at
the rest of
the content in those cells.
