Thanks Robin

I didn't know that even existed. Makes things a lot easier now. I think the
wife and children might be a bit peeved though. What does flash actually do
anyway?

  Hi Johnny,

You don't say which version of jfw you have, but in the config manager you
can turn off flash by default.

Insert J for the jaws window
Go to the utilities menu open the config manager and select html options
tab until you hear the `Turn off flash in webpages' or something along these
lines, press space bar to check it and save your changes on the way out.

The other way you can do this quickly if you don't want this permanent
setting is when in a webpage, hit insert V, press f several times until you
hear the option about flash movies on web pages.

toggle this via your space bar and it will do the job while you're on that
page.

  hth, Robin

    Hi

I'm wondering how I can make a short cut key combination for turning flash
movies off.

It really annoys me when websites imbed flash, but even more annoying is
the fact I have to go all the way through Jaws verbocity to turn the damm thing
off every time I visit a new page. How do I go about making a short cut? Is
there a way I can do it so a simple combination will turn it off? Even better
would be if I could make some sort of a default setting so that Flash is always
off, but I'm not sure if this can be done. Can it?

    I'm baffled.
