Robin,

I don't know for sure if I've picked you up correctly but why not just change the default paper size and merge to the new size rather than using the Envelopes feature at all? If you don't want the return address anyway, just set it up as a normal document but when you print it happens to be to envelopes of the correct size.

It may depend on whether or not your printer can cope with the required size of envelopes but I'm assuming that is not a problem.

You may also need to alter the top margin and left margin for each size of envelope but once you have a template, you should be cooking on gas.

Cheers,

Jamie

Hi,

Sorry not strictly a jfw problem, so an off list reply may be in order.

Jfw7 or 8, Word 2000 or 2002.

I've got 40 names and addresses made out in a word table file. I have
been trying all morning to setup some options where I could use this
data to run off batches of addressed DL, A5 or even A4 envelopes.

No problem going through the envelopes merge wizard and all that part,
but I cannot see why the finished file defaults to the return address
format.

I check the OMIT box in the envelopes options tab and in here, once
selecting C5 for example, then changing the font size, the font doesn't
seem to hold.

Everything I've tried ends up with a name and address, in small arial
font size ten in the top left corner, when I want this to be the
addressee placed more centrally on the required sized envelope in Times,
size 14.

Followed the advice in the From the Keyboard tutorials but I'm obviously
missing something somewhere along the line.

How do I ensure that when I insert my fields that I am in the addressee
block and not the return block, which I don't want anyway?

Yours frustrated,
