I suspect they're one of those things that some people will find useful, and that others will cheerfully ignore. The idea is that the landmarks give you information about the bit of the page you've navigated to. Where other quick nav keys will move you around, they don't tell you what you'll find when you've got there. Landmarks will tell you that you've arrived at the part of the page with the search, navigation, main content and so on. So looks like its just another one of those things that I can't really see a reason for! Using the shortcut key to move between them doesn't appear to achieve that much. Or perhaps I'm just being a bit harsh because its something new. Best not jump to an instant dislike until I've given them a fair crack. Darran, looking to be all understanding in this new era of progress! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Léonie Watson" <tink@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, May 13, 2010 3:11 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Landmarks Being Announced > They're another way of navigating to different areas of a page.
