Am not 100% sure what you're asking. But I think you mean: "When positioned on a file in the file list in Explorer, how can you read the individual columns of information"? If using Windows XP, you can press Ctrl+JAWS together with any of the numbers 1 to 0 to hear information for columns 1 to 10. This only works in the type of control called a listview. It doesn't work in Explorer in Windows 7, where for some reason, Microsoft no longer use a listview to display the list of files. JAWS also has a feature for customising listviews. Full details can be found in Help. In addition, Windows itself allows you to choose which collumns are shown for a given listview. From memory, you get to this dialog by selecting Choose Columns on the View menu. Cheers.
