Erica, I've just tried that and was full of hope but unfortunately I'm still getting that damned message. It is very odd because it also appears that I can't reset the screen resolution to 1024 by 768 now that I've updated the video drivers. I'm beginning to wonder if Windows Update is installing drivers for a different graphics card rather than for the one I've got. Anyway, I've had enough for tonight and a glass of wine sounds much more appealing! If anyone has any other bright ideas in the meantime, I'd be most appreciative. This should in theory solve the problem. Update the display drivers, then completely reinstall JAWS. Good luck Erica. (Smile) I've had some problems with my system and, as a result had to uninstall and reinstall Windows XP SP3. As a result of this, I now keep getting a message when the system starts which says something like "Install video intercept and restart system". I click "Execute" and restart the computer only to have the whole thing come back up the next time it starts up. Any ideas of the best way to deal with this. I've tried both repairing and uninstalling Jaws 9 and reinstalling it but with no progress. I'm sure that there must be a simple way to get round this but I've no ideas left! In case it is relevant, I also updated some of my hardware drivers using the Windows Update programme. I don't think any of them were for the graphics card but I'll check in the meantime.
