Yes I could back up the work on a pen drive or something but it's all my
e-mails and folders that I don't want to lose either, I have some old
archived messages from this list and others that I don't want to lose as it
is really helpful information. So don't know whether to take it to a
computer shop or risk doing it with my husband!

Hi Mandy, can't help on the Outlook question as I use Outlook Express. You'd

need to back up anything in Outlook you need to keep, and there are
programmes that claim to do that, but I couldn't say how efficiently they do

it. Would it be possible for you to manually back up the things you're
working on, saving it onto your computer till you've got Outlook sorted or
reinstalled Office? At least that would give you some peace of mind.
                    John.
