Nigel,
yeah, maybe.  But it would be as well to examine or find out the logic
behind FS's use of the shift keys as they have it.  As I said before,
they must have had reasons for using the shift keys to perform the
particular functions they do, in preference to any other keys, in
sayAll.  (Whether by accident or design, using right- and left-arrow
keys during SAYAll seems to work similarly to using left- and
right-shift keys.)

Sorry I've just had a better idea.
What if we get rid of the shift keys and pressing home and end while in
say
all mode will move to the appropriate position and keep reading.  But if
you
press them twice in quick succession then they move to  the appropriate
position and stop reading.

What do you think,
