Hello everyone

This is my first post to you all! I am an access technology trainer at
RNIB Peterborough. Recently we have experienced problems with
installing ESYS Braille displays for JAWS. Despite everything looking
OK when you go to Braille options in JAWS (the default display shows
ESYS and the correct display is identified behind the "Add Braille
Display" button), the ESYS fails to spring into any kind of action.
We first of all came across this problem with some users who were moving
to JAWS 12 and subsequently discovering that the ESYS stopped working.
We resolved these in the end by completely rebuilding their machines and
ensuring only one install of JAWS was present on their machines.
Today we have the same issue but the PC is running JAWS 10 only. We
install the ESYS Braille display, we have the correct driver for it
downloaded from ESYS manufacturer's website...and nothing, dead as a
dodo.
Has anyone else experienced problems with getting ESYS Braille displays
to work with JAWS? If so, how did you resolve the problem?

Thank you all

Richard
