I am reliably informed that Steinberg are looking at
accessibility as a European Community wide issue, and so
things may at least begin to happen sooner, rather than
later.

George is right that Cubase 4.1 is a very different animal
now.  Interesting news about Steinberg's acknowledgement of
non-accessibility, but there is still a deal of distance to
go between that and fixing it.  I remember discussing Cubase
accessibilty with Musicians In Focus founder some years ago.


 

Don't hold your breath waiting, it may be a while.  Yamaha
don't do anything quickly.
