Val, it does work the tandem link up but if I were you I would ask one of
the professionals on list to try the tandem feature with you first, I was
lucky to have a very clever man test it out. what we did learn was at some
point to fix a problem Jaws would have had to be turned off, now imagine
your
student, even if she had a demo version if all went wrong could you talk her
key stroke for key stroke if Jaws fell silent? I am sure you could cope if
the answer is yes, but you need to know any risk first and how to talk her
through a repair. should it be required. The tandem link up itself is fine

I am using V10 and love it - especially the ability now to fill in on line
forums, etc. etc. without having to keep turning on Forum Fields. I know
people have had trouble with it but, apart from taking time to get used to
the commands for Office 2007 I wouldn't swop back.
I've yet to try the Tandem feature. The only person I know who might
benefit from me being able to access her PC is, unfortunately only on V7
and
doesn't want to invest in upgrading as she only uses her PC for emails and
College homework. I do agree with her but wish I could try this feature
out. I had thought of getting her to download V10 in a demo mode but I
know
it would cause her too much worry.
Roll on next version - what more surprises are in store.
