MessageI seem to remember going through a real palava trying to get superscripts working on the typewriter at school. I know it is to do with the way in which the date is written some times in print and that the number such as 1 or 2 is writtenhigher up on the page than the letters afterwards such as st, nd etc. Now, happily, Word and similar word processors deal with any superscripts that may be required. Being oringinally a Braille user, superscripts are not something I have routinely come across so forgive me if I have got something wrong here. Thank you. Now I'm going to think long and hard to see if I can understand your reply. It's not easy being this green :) Cheers Amie ----- Original Message ----- From: Tiddy Ogg To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, February 29, 2008 8:24 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Jaws Saying Superscript Amie, read the passage a character at a time. One place I came across it, with a query from Dorothy, was in the date quoted on an e-mail: the twenty fourth. , written as numerals followed by a little TH symbol written up in the air. As someone else mentioned, Jaws key plus 4 on the number row lets you write a load of foreign characters, and these include superscript 1,2, 3. -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of amie.slavin Sent: 29 February 2008 20:12 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Jaws Saying Superscript Mine does that too. Have been to embarrassed to ask for advice with it as I'm ashamed to admit I have no idea what superscript means. If anyone feels like taking pity on me... I would like to stop this and wonder if someone could tell me how to do this please. Best wishes, Joan. No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
