Hi Sharon,

I've never experienced the problem you describe as I've never had to use
tables that are that long.

However, 2 thoughts come to mind......

1.  When Jaws appears to hang up, try just waiting for 20 or 30 seconds.
I've had a number of occasions where Jaws just seems to go quiet but comes
back when given a bit of time.  I normally check if it has returned by doing
a screen refresh (Insert+Escape) as it isn't likely to do anything other
than speak (assuming that Jaws has come back that is).

2.  If large tables is the problem you've identified, could you not just
chop up the tables into something more manageable e.g. maximum of 100 rows
or something like that?

Just an idea anyway.

Jamie

Subject: [jaws-uk] Jaws Crashing in large Tables

Hi,

Wonder if someone could advise me.

I'm an audio typist, and a lot of my work involves large tables, over 350
rows.

I have recently experienced jaws being very slow to respond when my tables
get over 300 rows, and crashing. I am not sure if it's jaws or word, but
think it's jaws.

I'm using jaws 22, latest version, and office 2016.

Wonder if anyone could help, as it's frustrating when I have to keep
restarting the pc, type a bit more then start again.

I have tried to restart jaws, but it just doesn't seem to respond.

Thanks.

Sharon
