Although Basic is only supposed to be for OEM's, it will doubtless
become as easily available as other so call OEM offerings.

...and Windows 7.0 Basic Edition is for the Netbook pre-install, it
will
not be available for retail. For regular home customers the Home
Premium edition is designed to be the volume seller. There may of
course be some PCs that come with Professional or Ultimate so it is
still worth enquiring.
