i wasn't trying to tell anyone to ditch jaws. but to help them with it in
case of a jaws crash or loss of speech. that's all.

We shouldn't have to use another screen reader to aid us with installing
JAWS, if we were to take Brandon's suggestion to its logical conclusion, why
not ditch JFW completely and just use NVDA for everything?

well, you could try using a different screen reader to read that dialog like
nvda for instance.

Hi,
On two Vista machines I am using, I am finding that when JFW is being
installed, a driver not signed box appears which has to be dismissed before
the installation can complete. Jaws helpfully doesn't speak that box during
the installation phase, so to any totally blind person, the installation
would appear to "hang".
Anyone else seen this?
Thanks.
Andrew.
