The symptoms sound as though JAWS is entering "forms" mode. Don't know
why it would be doing this, but it would be worth hitting numpad + when
this happens to see if you get out of it. This would only work in IE,
but its worth a go.

Hi folks, I don't think I've changed anything lately but, all of a
sudden, JAWS keeps jumping into some other mode. It just says edit and
the cursor doesn't do anything. I haven't tried typing and can't tab
anywhere. Insert T just produces a bing noise.
I thought at first that it was Word playing up, but it seems to do it a
lot in IE too.
This happens when I am making repeated keystrokes, arrowing up or down
or selecting text with CTRL A and CTRL C. I don't think it is tied to
one particular keystroke but could be wrong. It does not happen when I
am typing text and I haven't noticed it in Outlook Express.
~Any ideas folkies?
