Dave,

I sent this message a few days ago as an attachment but didn't get my copy
back from the list as normal, so I'm sending it again in the body of this
message in case it didn't get through to you. This using Office 2003.

Subject: [jaws-uk] JAWS doesn't access Access

Hi All,

I am resending this as no one as, yet has responded.

I am having an issue with JAWS not setting up relationships in Access.

In the relationships view, I select the field, and press Control+Shift+
C, and JAWS informs me to select the table and field to which I would
like to link, and press the same combination again to set up the
relationship.

I do this, but no relationship is set , anyone have any ideas what might
be the reason?

Both tables have primary keys and exist in the database, not linked to
external spreadsheets.

Cheers

I would like to hear from anyone who knows if the later versions of
JAWS, I have version 8!
works better with Access 2003 as:

JAWS fails to read the "Show" and "Criteria" fields in design view.

JAWS fails to set up relationships in either design view using Control +
shift + J, or in relationships using Control + shift + C. Plus when a
relationship is set using the mouse pointer (by a sighted person), JAWS
fails to announce the relationship when selecting the related field from
a table.

I have also found that when scanning across a large datasheet, JAWS
fails to announce the column header when the column was initially out of
view.

Last and worst of all, if there is a glitch, and there have been a few,
JAWS fails to speak until Access has been completely closed down.
Meaning the software should be called Job Access Without Speech!

Has anyone had scripts written to improve the usability of JAWS with
Access 2003?

Cheers

Regards
