Ottawa Canada Dear Dorothy and list: JAWS does NOT try to change words in the TO:, CC:, or BCC fields or anywhere else for that matter. It is probably the spell checker you are using. Please refer to its documentation on how to reign it in to not change words you prefer to leave alone. One way to do this is to add them to your spell-check dictionary or to do a global ignore or ignore it just this once. As I don't know what spell checker or e-mail program you are running, I cannot give you the exact keystrokes to use. You will have to refer to the documentation for your spell checker for this.
