Many thanks to those who responded to my earlier message regarding my friend's problem with JAWS. This is just to let you know that our brilliant sighted volunteer has solved the problem. It had to do with installing and uninstalling, and the video intercept. Uninstalling apparently leaves bits behind, which interfere with the new installation.
