Hi George, Yep, been there george. However, there is a way round this problem. I now have a Jaws authorisation dongle. So, in my rucksacs secret water-proof compartment, is the above dongle and a pen drive with jaws 11, 32 and 64 bit versions. When you buy JAWS, it will have a Serial Number. You must correctly Register JAWS under that Serial Number. You will also receive a special 20 digit alpha numeric code on a separate License CD. This basically allows JAWS to be run under your serial number, but it will still require to be authorised in order to run fully. This is most easily done over the internet from within JAWS, and is fairly automatic. If you loose your installation media, you will need to contact your JAWS supplier, who in turn can arrange to sort out a replacement License CD. However, you will still need to know your JAWS Serial number, or at least be able to prove that you are the person who purchased and registered it so that the dealer can find a copy of your details on their system. As regards the number of installations, bear in mind that a single-user license is just that. You are permitted to install JAWS on a second system which you use, on the basis that you cannot normally use two systems at the same time. Note this is quite different from installing it on your system and also on a friend's system. You can install on a third system, again of your own, but personally speaking as a JAWS dealer myself, I would advise against that if at all possible. It is always wise to keep one installation to hand, because Murphy's Law says that when you need that spare, it will be around 6pm on a Friday night in America, and Freedom Scientific who are the only ones who can normally sort these things out, will have gone off for the weekend. And moreover, you will usually have a vital piece of work which needs done by the following Monday morning. One final word about transfer of ownership. Some people are officially given the copy of JAWS they have used at school when they leave school. Please ensure that 1) You get an official letter from the school confirming they have given this to you. 2) Deal with the transfer of ownership right away. It will cost you to arrange transfer, but again you dealer will help here.
