I don't think anyone has answered this one. The hardware dongle is very
much an option with Jaws, you just need to ask when ordering an upgrade. If
you are a home user with maybe one or two PCs ILM usually does fine. Users
with a lot of diffeent PCs to access or are the kind of inveterate tinkerer
with hardware configurations may find the dongle solution is better for
them.

Hi,

I have followed some of this thread. I myself have not yet upgraded
jfw beyond version 5.x as demoing the later versions has not made me
feel I am missing a whole lot and as I also do not like the ILM
authorization scheme.

However, I was up to now under the impression that the user is given
a choice of either the ILM authorization or a hardware dongle for
copy protection. If or when I upgrade, I would very definitely want a
hardware dongle for authorization as I work on multiple computers and
also change hardware around fairly frequently.

Am I to understand that the hardware dongle is no longer an option
for authorization? I very much hope it still is and would appreciate
clarification on this as well as information as to whether there is
any additional cost involved with the dongle authorization.

Thanks much.

Cheers,

Doris
