McAfee never was compatible with Jaws. Probably still isn't. Try
something else if you can. I hear good reports about Microsoft Security
Essentials. Although I use neither of these.

Subject: [jaws-uk] JAWS AND MCKAFEE

Hi all

I recently purchased a new laptop which comes with the above software
(for a free trial period) loaded. Can anyone advise how user friendly
it is as regards Jaws (I'm running Version 10 on a Windows 7 laptop
with 3gb of RAM). I've previously used the free versions of Avast and
Antivir and found them fine for my purposes.

I did attempt to remove Mckafee but, the next time I attempted to
start the laptop I had to perform a system restore which appears to
have brought it back again! Not sure if the two things are connected
(the removal of the software and the need to run system restore) but
I'm now wary of tampering with the dratted thing.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Kevin
