Hi,

Ok, just seems strange that I have to use up another activation licence
again, S 'n S said something about if I hadn't activated the product
since renewing my SMA in July there, the new version doesn't know I
already have this pc activated with J11.

Just doesn't make sense to me, never had to do this before, so long as
my product SMA was alive, I've never had to go activate the next version
I install.

Robin, my brother had the same problem and we've just sorted it out. His
SMA is up to date and he is authorised to use Jaws 12. However, when he
installed J12, he got a message saying that his authorisation was only
valid to an earlier version of Jaws. What we did was to ignore that
message and just authorise J12 as if it was a new installation i.e.
going through all the steps including inserting the CD that has my
brother's Jaws serial number on it. It took a little longer than usual
for the authorisation to go through but all worked fine at the end.

Good luck.

Amro

        Hi,

Downloaded and installed J12 but it's asking me to re activate
the
product as my activation on this computer is for an earlier
version.
Does this mean I have to use up another licence.... I don't have
any
left so I'd need to ask for a reset?

I've just checked with S&S and my SMA is up to date.

Gone back to J11 for the meantime.

        Kind regards,
