Thank you Tiddy Does the history just show where you have been? I just recalled something, remember when all my emails vanished? No I do not mean the View menu, but the inside of all Emails so suddenly there I was with empty shells in all Folders and subfolders? Well that man I mentioned who caused it to happen, rushed back and we did a System Restore, that was when he said I had exceeded the Total Capacity in Oe, eof 2GB and more than 2,000 in any one folder, well The system restore brought them all back mercifully, but he said an alternative was to Delete all Temporary Files. Now he had read this on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.. So far anyone who has looked at the Ms Knowledge Web base, has been left uncertain. It is not clear. Steve Griffith kindly looked it up for me the other day. He found the total of----- Original Message ----- Gibb2 GB mentioned but regarding the folders it is
confusing. I mean Some Folders with say 2,000 Emails in may be just a bit of text, others may have Photos in or big attachments. From: "Tiddy Ogg" <oggy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, February 12, 2008 12:56 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Internet explorer options.
Mine is set to change every time I visit web page, the first option. And "days to keep history" is 20. Someone else on the list ran a scare story about keeping them, which is probably rubbish, but there's certainly no harm in deleting the lot, especially if you don't ever use the I E history feature. -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dorothy Ingram-Gorban Sent: 11 February 2008 21:37 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Internet explorer options. Hi, Dorothy again, re Temporary files I have had look and it seems to give Choices about storing Temporary Files, one is Never, should that be checked? Firstly it says Temporary files and History to gather, I am loading up Internet Explorer and doing or going into Tools Alt and T, it also says of Temporary Files I am over the advised Limit and offers to reduce to correct amount, but when I enter on it nothing happens at all. How about Tiddy if you look at yours? I find it hard to deleteanything unless I know why it is there in the first place? Many of these are harmless, and let's the site know that you've been there before and can thus give you a personal message. From experience, clearing these in that clean-up thing doesn't getridof the useful ones anyway. Note some cookies are spyware but Adaware etc will get rid ofthose...so maybe it would be safer to leave them there during your I Eclean-up.Get rid of the temp files though. -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx[mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of sue morgan Sent: 11 February 2008 19:20 To: Jaws Subject: [jaws-uk] Internet explorer options.
