Hallo, I have in mind moving from Freeserve as they are gated or have a
block on them by many other ISP's I have had to use third parties to act as
carriers or Messengers or they are all brought back undelivered with some
spurious and untrue message, I eventually after an hour on the phone first
via an Indian call centre was transferred to a cancellation department. I
was in the Uk with this man I could tell. I explained I am not tied to
them by any contract any more and the problem He was aware of the problem,
he actually understood. Now, I tried to get to the bottom of it and maybe
you Techy's or George or Tristram can explain this. The person in
particular who could get my messages through Andrew Hodgeson, who is on
holiday has some fancy set up and his IP number is I think Static. I asked
about my IP number. and it was explained like this. It changes all the
time and is moved into a Pool a central Pool and then another given so it is
a moveable IP number. Now what he said about the block is this. It is not
the other parties fault or theirs either. He said the fault is that Spammers
are now so Sophisticated they can do next to nothing about it. I am going
to have to continue this another time as a truly violent thunderstorm is
over head the second tonight. so if my line is flooded as it always is in
wet weather I will turn all off and run for cover. Hope you do not get it
like this I can hear Fire alarms ambulances Dorothy. Ps I am going to remove
the phone plug and Ariels
