Cheers Phil for that, it's not such a crucial thing, just one of those text
adventure type things.

I'll take a tentative look,

Robin

Hi Robin,

I think that you'll have to change the default program for the .HT extension
in the file types tab of the files and folders in control panel.

Find the file types tab then type h to get to the types beginning with that
letter then cursor down until you find the ht extension. now tab until you
find the change button and activate it.

You are given the opportunity to change the program which is to run and a
browse button to help you find it.

My telnet.exe is in c:\windows\system32

Incidentally, you do realise that telnet is not a secure utility so that
your password, for example, may be seen over the internet.

You might wish to consider a more secure equivalent such as putty.

If you need further information, feel free to contact me off list.

HTH,

Phil Medway.

Hi,

Sorry it's a bit off topic, but can anyone tell me how to make telnet the
default in XP as opposed to Hyperterminal? And, is there any tips or sections
in the Jaws help system relating to using jfw with these features?

I've had a run through the help in this6.2 but can't find it, I'm sure I've
seen it somewhere.

Kind regards,
