In OE, open the message then press Insert A to place the Jaws focus in the
attachments list. Hit enter on the attachment to open it. If the message has
more than one attachment, use the up/down arrows to move through the list of
attachments.

Michael, if you are using O E just open the message and tab until you hear
it say attachment. Then press enter and the audio should play. Using Jaws 10
it works for me.

    Cheers

What e-mail program are you using?

Try pushing the Applications key – next to the right hand ctrl key, and you
might find in the menu there.

If not, try the file menu.

Subject: [jaws-uk] How to open an attachment.

    Hi all,

I have Jaws 11 and Windows X P Home edition. Someone sent me an email with
no text in it, so nothing spoken, but my wife said there was an attachment of
an audio file. I knew the sender, so was safe in opening the attachment. How
do I open this attachment in these circumstances when there was no text to tell
me where I was?

    Many thanks for any help,

    Michael.
