Hi Shirley, From your question, I'm not entirely sure what you are hoping to do. Merging things in Excel is a specific action where a number of cells are merged into a single cell. If there is data in the cells at the time of the merge, you are likely to lose data from some of the cells. It sounds more like you are meaning copying and pasting information from one sheet to another but, before being able to properly answer your question, I'd need to get more specific information on exactly what you want to achieve. Cheers for now, Jamie From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of shirley clow Sent: 20 November 2011 19:29 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] Help with XL. Hi, can anyone tell me if I can merge 2 XL spreadsheets by copying and pasting. If so, could you tell me how it's done. Many thanks, Shirley. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 6647 (20111121) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 6649 (20111121) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
