It is impossible to "accidentally" install XP Professional
over the top of XP Home.=20

Moreover, under no (legal) circumstances should the engineer
simply be installing anything other than the copy you were
originally supplied with.

George.

Subject: [jaws-uk] George Engineers mistake

Regarding professional, I only know I did not have it before
he came.. He
may have assumed I did. I gave him the software I had and
Viglen Product
keys. Thing is I did not know I had been given it that is
how ignorant I am.
I was using Jaws in Demo Mode due to the fact the
registration Disc not
work. The Engineer didn't do me a favour as I was
concerned about
floppy not working or being corrupted. Tony Berry meant when
he said it
wouldn't make any difference was that Jaws
wanted more money
from a User if they used Professional. I have no idea why
this is. Just
makes a lot more work again. Incidentally in a Mag.I get
from TNAUK called
computer active was an article on Software being sold under
licence. A
firm of solicitors who specialise in that area talked about
some cases in
the States. Said if you get an article in a packet or box
by mail. the Sale
of Goods Act applies. However its not so if bought on
the Web. it is
different. the will look at this area later they say. The
cases they mention
in California were interesting. and they Computer Active
asked for
information under the Freedom of information Act in USA. It
was a March
Issue and I was late listening to it. Dorot Ps They meant
the Sale of Goods
in England.
