Hi all, Sorry if this comes over as me sounding slightly stroppy, but I
seem to have got into a situation on my Windows 10 desktop machine where
Fusion won't do what I would expect it to do in terms of the magnification
setting, and I also seem to be unable to get any sound out of it. The
Magnification should be set to either 4 or 4.5, but it seems to open at
about 1 when fusion loads. I think the reason Fusion won't speak is somehow
linked to the fact that I sometimes like to change the voice profile on the
fly, and I think I must have somehow wiped the default profile, or changed
to a profile which makes fusion go quiet. it's also possible that somehow
I've changed which scheme is running at start-up, but I can't be exactly
certain what's caused the problem.
I've tried switching to running the stand-alone Jaws and ZoomText
combination, but that doesn't seem to want to work so I'm currently using
Jaws on its own. I do wish Freedom Scientific had kept Magic up-to-date for
those of us who were using it after they merged in to VFO, as I found Magic
much easier to use as it worked better with Jaws than the Fusion combination
seems to be working currently
Please can someone suggest how I might resolve this without a system
restore, since system restore isn't as easy in this latest windows 10 as it
was in the past.
Please note that I've already sent a similar message to this to the Jaws
Facebook group, however I thought it best to also post here.
Thank you in advance for your replies.
